| Title | Selecting Crosswalk Types at Challenging Intersections |
| Abstract | The City of Guelph is developing new guidelines for Pedestrian Crossovers (marked crosswalks), including new methodologies to select suitable sites and redesign intersections to improve safety and compliance. This presentation will present a couple examples of intersections where it was previously unclear how to select the ideal pedestrian crossing type, and show how the draft guidelines introduce new planning and design solutions to create a comprehensive pedestrian network. |
