Session Title AT - Stories from the Juncture: Intersections and Crossings
Title Safer Crossings at Signalized T-Intersections: Two Moncton Case Studies
Abstract

This presentation will highlight two signalized T-intersections in Moncton where targeted crossing improvements are being used to address active transportation safety, visibility, and network connectivity. At Université Avenue and the Georges-Dumont Hospital access, the City implemented a leading pedestrian interval to reduce conflicts between pedestrians and left-turning vehicles. The presentation will also explore the intersection reconstruction of Vaughan Harvey Boulevard and Gordon Street, which includes a new north-side protected crossing, and the implementation of separated cross rides.
