The Port Lands area in Toronto represents one of Canada’s most ambitious urban transformation initiatives, driven by the need to accommodate planned growth while fostering sustainable and integrated development. As municipalities increasingly revisit their transportation and infrastructure master plans, the Port Lands Street Network Due Diligence Exercise serves as a leading example of how transportation planning and land use can be harmonized to maximize positive outcomes for communities, the environment, and future urban growth.

Key Issues

Key challenges addressed in this exercise include balancing multimodal connectivity and the integration of new street networks with existing and future land uses. Objectives
