- Every week, 5 people die and 35 more are seriously injured on Central Florida roadways. This session will highlight how a Vision Zero plan to eliminate these preventable tragedies was crafted. While we traditionally think of safety countermeasures as the first solution, that was only the beginning. From policy actions, to public outreach, to rolling up sleeves in 20 agency workshops, this plan touched all elements of the Safe System approach. This session will equip you with the firepower to answer the remark “we will never get to zero traffic deaths”. Join us to learn about the strategies fueling Central Florida’s drive to zero.
