| Title | QEW Innovation Corridor - Moving into Implementation |
| Abstract | After five years of planning, the QEW Innovation Corridor is live! WSP and MTO are working together to advance Smart Mobility solutions in Southern Ontario by creating a 40km ‘Innovation Corridor’ on the QEW between Toronto and Burlington. The vision is to create a freeway-based CA and Smart Mobility test corridor that facilitates collaborative innovation and strategic partnerships, supports the safe evaluation of advanced technologies that improve mobility, strengthens sustainability, and drives economic development. This presentation will provide an update on what has happened over the past year, what is underway in 2025 and what is expected in 2026. Lessons learned will be shared as well as value and benefit that has been demonstrated or is expected to be demonstrated. |
