Title Wildfire Evacuation Behavior in Western Canada: Insights, Modeling, and Resilience Strategies
Abstract or description

This study delves into the travel behavior of residents in high-risk wildfire-prone Canadian communities. Using discrete choice analysis, we examine how individuals make travel decisions when faced with imminent wildfire threats. Survey data from communities in Alberta and British Columbia are utilized to gather insights on travel patterns, evacuation strategies, risk perceptions, and socio-demographics. Our research aims to provide nuanced models for evacuee decision-making and inform infrastructure-driven policies. With data collection in progress and analyses underway, we aim to offer evidence-based recommendations to empower communities across North America.
