Abstract Manager

Intelligent Transportation Systems are known for their benefits of enhancing safety, reducing congestion and reducing environmental emissions.  Thinking more broadly, there are untapped opportunities to use technology to support diversity, equity and inclusion.  Through this presentation, examples from around the world, and in Canada, will highlight how collaborating with underserved communities can expose these opportunities and create value.  This presentation will share primary research that has been completed, outline new and innovative ways to collaborate and understand lived experience of underserved groups and highlight some technologies and practises that can be deployed to create transportation networks that support diversity, equity and inclusion.
