At the same time, these efforts are often difficult to sustain financially beyond state and federal grants. Increasingly, philanthropic organizations are turning towards behavioral health issues as investment areas - but often need to be more effectively engaged by community partners to bring such resources to ground. This session will provide an overview of how philanthropies - individual donors and foundations - can actively engage in prevention, treatment, and recovery efforts. The session will outline types of philanthropic organizations, what resources and capacities they can contribute (hint: it's not just money), and ways that nonprofit providers can effectively approach, build relationships with, and partner with philanthropy in pursuit of sustainable, quality service delivery.

Workshop Type

Prevention
Recovery
Treatment

Workshop Length

3 Hour

 "}
