| Methodology/Approach | Using a participatory action research framework, we co-designed a digital-community accountability tool with health stakeholders in three climate-vulnerable regions (Sub-Saharan Africa and Southeast Asia). The study employed mixed methods, combining real-time resource tracking data with qualitative feedback loops from community health workers (CHWs) and patients over 18 months. The tool was designed to monitor health system responsiveness during climate-induced shocks. |
| Results | Implementation of the tool resulted in a 30% increase in timely resource allocation during extreme weather events and a significant improvement in community trust scores (p<0.05). Qualitative data revealed that empowering local actors with accountability mechanisms strengthened health system preparedness and ensured decision-making was guided by equity rather than efficiency alone. |
| Discussion/Conclusion | This study demonstrates that community-led accountability tools are viable, practical approaches for translating climate-health evidence into impact. By decentralizing monitoring, we can reclaim equity in a fragmented world, ensuring health systems remain accountable to the people they serve amidst uncertainty. |
